Bahariya Oasis
Day 1
Breakfast will be taken in your hotel then your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada or Cairo with A/C vehicle straightforward to Bahariya Oasis along the Tariq El-Wahat with one stop in the middle to have a drink or use the WC.
Upon arrival, you will enjoy the lunch in local restaurant then check-in in our hotel. Free time at leisure till 17:00PM to start our walking city tour in the Bahariya Oasis. We will leave the hotel walking through the narrow street of the Oasis having an idea about the Wahati people houses and the materials they are using and why? Then we enjoy taking photos for some very old cars there not existed any more then we pass some schools, hotels, farms, cafe shops, restaurants, shops but over all we will see the palm farms around the Oasis with mango trees and water wills and much more. Then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After dinner, we can spend as much as we like in the hotel tent, talking, drinking Wahati tea with meant, listen to the typical Wahati music, dancing, singing till sleeping time.
Day 2
Breakfast will be taken at the hotel then we check-out leave all our staff in out air-conditioned vehicle to start our day with 4*4 Jeep.
The visits of today we can divided them into two categories
Ø Visits inside the Oasis
Ø Visits outside the Oasis
So we start with 4*4 Jeep to visit the places around the Bahariya. We start from a higher place like panorama from where we can see the whole Oasis with its houses, palm trees, mango trees and water some times. Then we move to the salt lake where we can walk for a while long the lake and take some nice photos and see how it’s big, nice and attractive. Then we drive to a very interesting place where we can see two very famous mountains taking pyramids shapes. The first and the most famous is known as the
Dest Mountain like 50 meters high and by its base in 1914, the American mission discovered one of the biggest skulls for dinosaur dates back to 93.5 million years. Then 50 meters fat from that mountain we can see
El Maghrafa Mountain which is bit smaller than the Dest Mountain.
Later on we will visit the Camels farm and a hot spring before we will go back to have a coffee break or continue our tour in the desert.
We will start with sand dunes where we can enjoy the beautiful sand and have very nice photos and sky even if we can sand board then we drive to Black desert which is not very far from the sand dunes(Mountains and hills rich in
black Basalt), seems the wind after thousands of years exposed this basalt and dispersed the rocks everywhere over the area giving it a black appearance,
Gebel El Marsos is one of the most famous mountains there and provides nice view over the surroundings landscape, makes you feel like you are not on earth but on another planet.
Next stop will be
El Heiz village and its spring where you will have a bath (no Jacuzzi can quite compare to Bahariya’s springs and wells). And in the same place we will have our lunch before we will continue to the
Crystal Mountain, it’s said to be sub-volcanic vault dating from the Oligocene age. From here we will drive to we will drive off road to
Aqabat Agabat is a small beautiful valley of unusual beautiful mountain formations and honestly no words can describe how beautiful is that valley or how nice are the stone formations.
After Agabat, we will drive long the old valley where it is very clear how it looks like in the past with the routes of many trees specially palm trees. We may be lucky to meet camels eating in the desert and we will visit
Ain Khadra where they gathered to drink water.
Next stop is a beautiful land escape which is absolutely out of the world,
The White Desert or
The White Desert National Park, magnificent natural rock formation by wind over millions of years. Many of the formations are given funny name such as Tents, Mushrooms, Ice Cream Cones, Ostriches, Hawks and Crickets
; they are best viewed at sunrise or sunset, when the sun turns them hues of pink and orange or under a full moon which gives the ghostly appearance.
Camping in the
Desert,
barbeque dinner and
folkloric party (special music performances and dancing around the fire, by our drivers) is what you can be expecting. After you will fully enjoy unforgettable scene, visible stars in quite atmosphere will help you to lay outside the tent and
gaze until your soul, mind and body will be content.
Day 3
Wake up from a quiet and peaceful night, having breakfast in Camping area then driving back to Bahariya Oasis. Free time to enjoy the village activity in the morning. Who wants, don´t miss the chance to try the typical Egyptian Falafel with Aish Baladi or bread or just watch drinking tea on café shop by local people, discussing the weather or sharing their jokes then drive back to Cairo.
